RE: DISCLAIMER NOTICE
PRESS STATEMENT
We, the members and supporters of the Labour Party, wish to counter the misleading press statement circulated by some individuals aimed at discrediting our esteemed leader, Barrister Julius Abure.
The congresses organized by Barrister Abure are legitimate and in line with the party’s constitution and electoral laws. The Nnewi convention of March 27, 2024, was a successful and peaceful gathering of party faithful, which reaffirmed Barrister Abure’s leadership and vision for the party.
We urge all members to disregard the baseless claims and misinformation spread by those seeking to disrupt our progress. Barrister Abure’s leadership has been validated by the party’s constitution and electoral laws.
INEC and other stakeholders are working with the Abure -led NWC to build a stronger and more united Labour Party.
Please note that there is no national transition committee within the labour party currently that is recognized by the labour party and INEC. Let us peacefully go about our businesses as we approach state/LGA/ward congress.
Let us stand together against misinformation and unite behind our leader, Barrister Julius Abure.
Long live the Labour Party!
Long live Barrister Julius Abure!
Signed,
Ambassador Elaigwu Blessing
