We have officially announced the vice-presidential candidate of our Party. He is Senator, Yusuf Datti Ahmed,
Presidential candidate of our Party, Mr Peter Obi, made the announcement in Abuja today where he said the delay was because of the detailed effort in the search for an eminently qualified candidate for the office.
“I have the singular honour to present by the grace of God, the next Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed.”
Obi said Baba-Ahmed was eminently qualified to bring his private sector and academic achievements to bear in the drive to rescue Nigeria from the primitive politics of ethnicity.
Obi added that the party will anchor its manifesto in coming days on the 17 goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Baba-Ahmed is the proprietor of Baze University in Abuja and one-time Senator representing Kaduna North in the National Assembly.
