The Northern Nigeria will benefit more under Peter Obi Led Federal Government than it had done in the past if by the grace God Labour is voted into power come 2023.
This was the assertion of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, (LPPCC) Spokesperson, Dr Yunusa Tanko on a radio programme in Abuja at the weekend.
Dr Tanko who was a guest on life programme of the Bright Repubiq FM reiterated that the Labour Party, (LP) Candidate, Ex-Governor Peter Obi was determined to direct energy to aggressive agricultural production in the North if Labour Party emerged victoriously in the forthcoming general elections.
Tank disclosed that Obi would not only focus on agricultural production alone but would ensure that the yields are processed and exported to earn foreign exchange for the country.
He stated that his principal had repeatedly stressed that he would turn the vast uncultivated arable lands in the northern Nigeria into the future oil for the country adding that Obi would not renege on that promise
On the issue of securing the votes in the forthcoming elections, Dr Tanko disclosed that the party was recruiting volunteers that would ensure that results of total Votes cast at every Polling booth are transmitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) server before leaving the Polling booth.
The volunteers he described as cell “soldiers ” according to him would be stationed at each Polling booth all over the country and would be willing to stay untill the result is announced and transmitted to INEC server.
He also explained that the labour was trying to avoid the hijack of the project of take back Nigeria by money bags which was why it opted for crowdfunding.
Dr Tanko described crowdfunding as the most civilised way of funding political campaigns adding that no individual with honest means could fund political campaign alone.
