PRESS RELEASE
Since yesterday, 18th October, 2024 I have been inundated with calls with respect to a purported press conference organised by one Comrade Wolimoh, Eragbe Anslem and others decietfully claiming to be representing the forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties in Nigeria.
Ordinarily, i would have ignored such malicious charade by people whose stock in trade has been controversial. It has become imperative that we address the issues.
Firstly, the said press conference is hereby DISCLAIMED. The Labour Party was not part of the criminally minded press conference as Eragbe Anslem has for the past two 2 years seized from being the National Youth Leader of Labour Party
Secondly, it is on record that on the same 18th October, 2022, Comrade Eragbe Anslem was suspended as the National Youth Leader of LP, a decision that was upheld by NEC in June 2023. Moreover, the party on 27th March 2024 conducted an elective convention where my humble self Prince Kennedy Ahanotu was officially elected as the National Youth Leader of Labour Party. Thus, it is HIGHLY ILLEGAL and impersonating for Eragbe, a man of 56 years old, to keep parading himself as the National Youth Leader. That press conference can be better described as two 2 years suspension/exit anniversary of Eragbe Anslem from Labour Party.
Thirdly, I am aware that there is a functional Forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties in which I am a member, and at no time did the forum approved of any press conference to nominate or promote an individual for a Ministerial position for President Tinubu. Thus, such an act is highly self-serving and shameful for people calling themselves youth leaders in the face of the current economic woes being experienced by Nigerian Youths.
Hence, I hereby call on the security agencies, Nigerian Police, the DSS, and others to investigate the activities of these impersonators who go about defrauding innocent citizens with promises of making them ministers. If these characters are not stopped, their activities are possible to cause a security threat to an already agitated security situation in the country.
Once again, I want to state categorically that Comrade Eragbe Amslem Aphimia DOES NOT in any way, form, or colour possess the capacity or the mandate to represent the Labour Party youths. Nigerians are hereby forewarned.
