Court Affirms Alhaji Prince Yusuf Asamah Kadiri SAN as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the Edo State Gubernatorial Election Coming up On The 21st September 2024.

In a very well considered Judgement delivered by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja this morning, Thursday, 27 June 2014, in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/556/2024 between LABOUR PARTY & 3 OTHERS vs. INEC, the Court affirmed Alhaji Prince Yusuf Asamah Kadiri SAN as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the Edo State gubernatorial election coming up on the 21st September 2024.

Judge stated clearly that the process of the nomination of Alhaji Prince Yusuf Asamah Kadiri SAN as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party “over-complied” with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act and subsidiary Guidelines, as well as the Constitution of the Labour.

The Court consequently ordered INEC to accept and process substitution of Alhaji Prince Yusuf Asamah Kadiri SAN as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, and accordingly publish his name in the list of candidates.
