Our attention has been drawn to news flying around where one of the notable political merchants in Nigeria Comrd Kennedy Iyere purportedly organized a so called Imo Obidient Stakeholders Meeting to support Governor Hope Uzodinma for a second bid to govern Imo State. In as much as we do not want to join issues, we must state categorically that Kennedy Iyere is on his own, he does not represent the Obidients in any capacity and the obidients in Imo cannever support the incumbent governor of Imo State knowing fully well the roles some of them played in thwarting our presidential victory and democracy at large in the recent general election, though we are expectant that the judiciary will rescue our democracy.
Ordinarily, we would have ignored such laughable joke of the month of July coming from a notorious political jobber but for the purpose of setting the record straight for our dogged #obidientmovement and especially our Imo State #OBIdients Stakeholders. This same man Iyere was in Enugu sometime in the past to execute the same hatchet job for one INEC declared Peter Mba,
Research has shown that no one should single handedly claim to be the leader of the #ObidientsMovementWorldwide. This movement is a dream whose time has come in Nigeria political landscape with the sole vision to dismantle all the political structures of criminality, corruption, injustice, bad governance, godfatherism, and all forms of kleptocracy. The movement simply can be described as an opportunity that met with preparedness of His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi who the youths sees as the leader of the new Nigeria of our collective dream, hence Peter Obi inspires the Obidient Movement Worldwide. Thus, Mr Peter Obi is the driving factor behind the obidient movement that people celebrate today.
It is also important to note that the self acclaimed activist Comrd Iyere does not have any visible record whatsoever to prove his contribution towards the successes achieved by the generational revolutionary movement, rather there are a lot of claims and background murmoring from people and support groups who fell victim of Iyere ‘s marchantist antics and status quo transactional politics.
Given this background, we urge all the well meaning obidients, support groups and good governance stakeholders in Imo, across Nigerian and world over to ignore all the hullabaloo coming from Comrd Kennedy Iyere. The last we checked, Edo State is yearning for good governance and if Iyere thinks he is popular, let him run for Edo Governorship. We are aware that Iyere is considering such idea through Acord Party and we wish him all the best, but he should be guided not to attract the wrath of angry youths who wants things to be done differently in Nigeria. Its no longer business as usual.

Nneji Athan Achonu – Imo LP Flagbearer, Kogi State is Barr. Okeme Desmond and Bayelsa State is Comrd Udengs Eradiri as published in INEC NIGERIA, final list of governorship candidates. We urge all the obidients to remain focused towards delivering them in the upcoming Governorship election come Novemeber, 2023. We cannot support APC and those who said we do not have structure.
In conclusion, we urge all the youths to remain optimistic and focused as we watch the judiciary. A New Nigeria Is POssible.
